Our 8 day course is designed for experienced heating engineers who wish to begin working with heat pumps. The Heat Training Grant is funded by UK Government. Introduction

We are delighted to be able to offer our Air Source Heat Pump Installer Training pack to our customers. The training pack runs over the duration of 8 days (Monday – Thursday over 2 weeks) and includes qualifications recognised by MCS within their competence standards.

• BPEC water regulations qualification (that is a pre-requisite of ASHP qualification).

• BPEC ASHP systems qualification.

• BPEC Low Temperature System Design

 

Course Overview

Our course is designed for experienced heating engineers who wish to work with heat pumps.

Attendees must provide evidence of a relevant qualifications/experience:

• An S/NVQ Level 2/3 in plumbing, heating engineering that includes system design within its scope. Or a demonstratable number of years’ experience (minimum 3 years) in technical role, which must be provided by means of a CV.

Week 1:

Monday – BPEC Water Regulations, this will ensure you have up to date knowledge and can reference requirements within the regulations as part of your work. 

Tuesday to Thursday – BPEC Low Temperature System Design

Week 2:

Monday – Thursday – BPEC Air Source Heat Pumps

 

Cost

Total cost for the courses are priced very competitively at  £299.00 + VAT for the Low Temperature System Design course and £599.00 + VAT for the Heat Pump course. This includes all qualification registration and certification fees and learning materials.

Eligible installers can benefit from a Heat Training Scheme voucher up to the value of £500 per session, leaving just £99 + VAT to pay at the time of booking.

 

Voucher Eligibility

The £500 voucher is funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, Heat Training Grant Scheme.

 

To be eligible for the voucher, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  1. England-based
    The scheme is available in England only. Applicants must have a home address registered in England.
  2. Employment status / business size
    Applicants must be either:
    • A sole trader;
    • Employed by a business with 250 employees or fewer; or
    • Unemployed.
  3. Competent Person Scheme (CPS) registration
    The trainee, or the business they work for, must be registered with an appropriate Competent Person Scheme (CPS) covering heating and hot water systems, such as Gas Safe Register, APHC or NAPIT.

 

During the online booking you will be asked to answer a number of questions to confirm your eligibility for the grant voucher. Please note it is your responsibility to answer these accurately and evidence of qualifications and registered home address will be required to be produced at the training centre. If you are unable to provide the requested evidence, you will be required to pay the outstanding balance of the course, before you are able to claim your certification.

 

Changes and cancellations

Due to the limited number of training spaces available and exceptionally high demand, we are unable to replan any bookings once confirmed. The £99 booking fee is non-refundable.

**Please note you MUST bring the following items with you. Failure to bring the following items will result in no qualification(s):**

  • 3 passport sized photos (with a white background)
  1. National insurance number
  1. Candidates MUST hold a recognised NVQ Level 2/3 in plumbing / heating or earlier equivalent qualifications, note copies of qualifications will need to be provided as evidence (this does not include ACS certificates). We will also accept a demonstrable number of years of relevant experience, typically 3 years minimum in a working role – however this MUST be demonstrated on a CV.

To be eligible for the funding you must attend both sessions (week 1 and week 2), failure to attend both weeks will result in a charge for the remaining balance of your course, to reclaim the unutilised funding.
