Description

Designed for newly qualified installers and those that have had no prior service and fault-finding experience.

A practical 3-day hands-on course to provide you the skills to demonstrate a structured approach to diagnosing boiler and system faults. The course will allow you to understand not just what has failed, but why. You’ll build confidence using a multimeter, learn how to wire common heating systems, test electrical components safely, interpret fault codes effectively, and follow a logical process that improves accuracy, speed, and first-time fix rates.

Through practical exercises on live training rigs, you’ll develop the diagnostic mindset needed to tackle real-world breakdowns more efficiently, reduce wasted time on jobs, and increase your earning potential as a service and repair engineer

Wear suitable clothing and footwear for practical working on products. All tools and equipment are provided.

Prerequisites

Attendees must hold a valid Gas Safe registration. Trainees and apprentices at the final stages of their training may attend only when accompanied by a Gas Safe registered mentor, who will be responsible for their supervision throughout the training.
