BPEC Hot Water Storage Systems (Unvented / G3) Training Course

Description

Our course has been carefully designed to give experienced heating engineers and plumbers the knowledge required to carry out all tasks relating to Domestic Hot Water Systems. The course is structured over 1 day and is suitable for both initial entrants and those requiring re-certification. On passing all assessments, you will receive BPEC Certification allowing you to register installations via a subscribed registration body (i.e., Gas Safe).

This qualification is valid for 5 Years from the pass date.

 

Course Content & Learning Objectives :

• Principles and design considerations of hot water storage systems

• Safety

• Regulations, standards, and guidance

• Cylinder types and component design and operation

• Safety controls and operating methods

• Installation and commissioning

• Maintenance and servicing

During the course the equipment is available for demonstration and allow you to complete a number of tasks yourself including the identification of common faults and installation errors. Training documents are provided.

 

**B PEC Learner Material will be sent to you 10 days before the course start date for you to study from before attending. You MUST bring the learner manual with you and failure to do so will result in you being charged for a second manual, otherwise you will not be able to complete the course.**

 

Assessment Requirements:

A blend of multiple-choice style assessment papers and practical observations.

Entry Requirements:

You must hold a recognised trade qualification (e.g., NVQ/SNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or similar)

OR

Have a number of years’ experience in either conventional heating engineering or plumbing . (If this option applies, the candidate will need to provide a CV detailing a minimum 3 years real work experience to support the application)

OR

Currently undertaking a course in heating engineering or plumbing which will lead to a formal qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 heating and ventilation or plumbing.
